Sunday Mornings at 9:45
On Sunday mornings at 9:45, we offer classes for children of all ages.
INFANTS, CRAWLERS, WALKERS, and TWO YEAR OLDS
cared for regularly by Kathy Wood, Vickie Elmore, Debra Dixon, and Debbie Deaton
Children two and below in the nursery are cared for by church members who are committed to the spiritual and physical well-being of your child. Our little ones are sung to, read to, and given special attention during their time in the nursery.
PREK 3's-5's*
3 Year Olds are taught by Jen Massey and Deana Shirley
PreK 4's-5's are taught by Sasha Clem
The 3's, 4's and 5's use curriculum from Children Desiring God. This year, they are studying the Old Testament through material called “He Established a Testimony”. Each child receives a coloring book which will be kept in their classroom. These books help to keep them on track with the material that is covered each week. At the end of the study children will be given the coloring books to keep to review the Bible truths that they have learned.
KINDERGARTEN and 1st GRADE
taught by Allen and Debra Hawkins
The Kindergarten and 1st Graders, are using their God-given curiosity to find out the "How" and "Why" of everything around them. In the study, "The ABC's of God", children will be directed to the most important questions of all: Who is God? What is God Like? How Should I Act Toward God? Each child in this group receives a coloring workbook which will be kept in their classroom. These books help to keep them on track with the material that is covered each week. At the end of the study children will be given the coloring workbooks to take home so that they can continue to review the Bible truths that they have learned in this class.
2nd GRADE through 4th GRADE
taught by Mickey and Michele McPherson
The 2nd through 4th grade group is learning about the big picture of the Bible through a study called "In the Beginning...Jesus". They will see that the focus of the Bible is centered around the Person and work of Jesus Christ! Each child in this class also receives parent pages that they will bring home to help keep you both on track with the material from Children Desiring God.
5th GRADE and 6th GRADE
taught by Andrew Goolsby and Fina Stringer
Our 5th and 6th grade students will studying God's use of His names as a means to reveal His character. Boys and girls will meet up for a gender-specific teaching time which will help them to dive into the material. Each child in this class also receives a workbook which they will keep in the classroom to keep them on track with the material from Children Desiring God. At the end of the study, children will be given the workbooks to take home so that they can continue to review the Bible truths that they have learned in this class.
Wednesday Evenings at 6:30
Wednesday Evening activities are offered for children of all ages from 6:30-7:30.

Childcare is offered for infants through two year olds on Wednesday evenings. Children in the nursery are cared for by volunteers of the church. A coloring sheet or learning activity from the Teach, Take, and Tell curriculum will be available for our two year olds to learn about twelve key Biblical truths.
PREK 3's-5's
taught by Sasha Clem and Kara Henderson
On Wednesday Nights, our 3's-5's will participate with a curriculum called Big Questions and Answers for Little People. This material presents an expanded version of the same key biblical truths that are used in Teach, Take and Tell. There are 3 weeks of curriculum for each biblical truths. A Bible story, reflective of the truth is presented each of three weeks. This allows the children to master the concept and the story. Actions rhymes, songs, games and crafts reinforce and add variety to this basic core lesson.

K-6th Grade Curriculum Kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be studying Big Ideas of the Bible each Wednesday night with teaching times suited to their age group. Each 3 weeks we cover a new biblical truth called a Big Idea, there is an Old Testament, New Testament or Missions story presented along with a review of our Big Question, Big Answer, and a scripture memory verse. After the large group time, children split up for a story-related snack and activity time such as drama, crafts, or games that reinforce the lesson. Each week the kids have an opportunity to earn points by being present, bring their Bible, bringing a friend, memorizing a memory verse and participating in an activity. They'll have an opportunity to redeem their points at the Praise Factory store which will be open on certain Wednesday nights during the semester.
*If your child is 3 years old and is not yet potty-trained, we ask that you begin to help your child train and let the teacher know that your child is not potty-trained at sign in. We do not change diapers for children in this class.
