CHILD Through Grace is committed to raising awareness about Christ’s passion and love for the orphans of the world.  Our purpose is to demonstrate and share Christ’s love and Word to all orphans.  We also provide help for orphans, adopted children, adoptive parents, and foster parents through prayer, support meetings, and partnerships.

Currently we are focused on spreading awareness about adoption throughout our church and community and supporting the children in Child Protective Services. 

 

 

 

The Lifebook Marathon will be on October 3rd from 6-midnight.  A Lifebook is a 3 ring binder decorated to become a scrapbook for children in foster care.  CPS will provide inserts for the children to fill out to document their life, in their words, but also have the ability to add more.  The Lifebook Marathon will be an open fellowship time for everyone - games, cards, movie, craft time - with the ultimate focus on the Lifebooks!

On August 9th, the group met at the CPS downtown office to help assemble the school supplies that were collected earlier this summer.  We started with a Q&A session about CPS and the families/children it supports.  This was informative for the adults and the kids!

 

Once the donated items were sorted, the group filled a total of 24 backpacks with supplies as required by grade.  There were many supplies left that were also sorted and assembled.  It was so much fun and the group thanks all who donated the supplies.
