About the Bible
The Bible is God's written revelation of Himself. It is complete, supernaturally inspired, and without error. Therefore, it is and will remain the center of all Christian existence and experience and the rule by which all human action, beliefs, and opinions will be measured.
2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Exodus 24:4; Psalm 19:7-11; 119;
Proverbs 30:5-6; John 17:17; Luke 24:44-45; Ephesians 6:17; Revelation 22:19 About God There is one living and true God. He is an infinite, intelligent, eternal, Spirit being who made and rules over heaven and earth. Among His many attributes, He is holy, good, righteous, pure, and perfect. God, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit are three equal but distinct persons.
Exodus 20:2-3, Genesis 17:1; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6; John 4:24; Psalm 147:5; Revelation 4:11; Philippians 2:5-6
About the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God and Jesus Christ, His Son. He was active in creation, convicts of sin, guides people into the Truth, and matures the believer in Christ. John 14:16-17, 26; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 9:14; Luke 1:35; Genesis 1:1-3; Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:26-27
About Jesus Christ Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. Jesus was the sinless sacrifice by which God draws humanity to Himself. Only through Christ can we gain access to the Father and have the opportunity to become a child of God.
John 1:1-14; John 16:6
About Satan Satan was once a holy angel who enjoyed the privileges of heaven. Through pride and personal ambition, however, he fell and is now the unholy god of this world. He is the author of the powers of darkness and destined to final defeat at the hands of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:14-17; Revelation 12:9; Jude 6; 2 Peter 2:4; Revelation 20:1-3
About the Creation The Genesis account of creation is the literal, reliable manner by which God spoke the world into existence. God's creation is always good.
Genesis 1:1; Exodus 20:11; Acts 4:24; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 11:3; John 1:3; Genesis 2:21-23; Acts 17:23-26 About the Fall of Man Humans were created in innocence under God's supervision and willfully chose to rebel against God. As a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience, all humanity is sinful before God.
Genesis 3:1-6; 24; Romans 5:12, 19; Romans 3:10-19; Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 1:18; Galatians 3:22 About Salvation The salvation of people is completely the work of God's grace. Through Christ's voluntary death on the cross, subsequent burial, and literal resurrection, a way to the Father was created. Christ offers salvation to any and all who will confess their sins, place their faith and trust in Him for eternal life, and commit to live for Him totally. Christ provides the only access to God and heaven. Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 3:24,25; John 3:16; Isaiah 53:4-7; 1 Peter 2:24; John 14:6 About the Church The church is a congregation of baptized believers connected by their faith in God and their allegiance to Christ. Two ordinances are to be observed by the local church: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Our mission at Grace is to make and grow believers in Christ who worship God, minister His Word, and serve others. Acts 2:41,42; Ephesians 1:22,23; 1 Corinthians 12:4; 8-11; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Colossians 1:18; 1 Peter 5:1-4
About Missions The Great Commission Jesus gave in Matthew 28:19,20 serves as the unmistakable theme of His missionary vision. Missions, then, is taking the good news of God to people of all nations, teaching and growing them in Christian maturity. Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13-15
