Q & A
Q. What's the POINT? Why the SHIFT?
A. To bridge the 2 contemporary services and cultivate connection/vibrancy/energy among the church family. It also allows James Gilbert, who is leading worship in the contemporary service, greater flexibility to manage his student/worship responsibilities.
Q. Who is and isn't AFFECTED?
A. This primarily affects those who prefer contemporary worship; the traditional worship group will be essentially unaffected.
Q. What's about my KIDS?
A. Ultimately, we'd like to encourage families to: 1] attend the 9 AM Bible Study hour and plug the kids into the excellent Children's Ministries provided during that hour, and 2] attend worship together as a family in the 10:30 AM service. We believe families worshipping together is both biblical and preferred. Also, kindergartners and up currently attend the 11:30 service with their parents. We are evaluating options for those families with children who may struggle with the new schedule.
----------------------
We've come to this decision after prayerful consideration, extended conversation, and input-gathering from many across the Grace family. The belief that this is where the Lord is taking us, combined with the overwhelmingly supportive feedback from the church, affirmed the decision to move forward with this plan.
